My quilting/knitting/crafting partners in crime and I went to Galena for an overnight. (We’ve been collectively as a group for 13 years and wanted to celebrate.) We stayed at Allen’s Cabins, a place with five old log cabins that were brought from diverse areas in the midwest and rebuilt here. John and his wife are the proprietors, and have been ever considering that 3 weeks ago!

John is clearly a history buff and loves to inform about the lengthy and intriguing history of the location. The home behind him, exactly where he and his wife reside, was the boyhood property of the Civil War basic Augustus Chetlain. The property has been added to, but the original log cabin is the current dining space of the home.

John said that the preceding owner utilised to mow more than most of the plants. He’s letting the plants develop appropriate now, just to uncover out what’s there. It really is a gorgeous place, but maintaining five antique log cabins in great functioning order is no tiny job. John has a day job as director of meals services at a nearby resort. I consider his weekends will be fairly busy now as well.
Thanks for your kind hospitality, John. We enjoyed every single minute of our stay with you!

John is #26 in my one hundred Strangers project. Find out a lot more about the project and see images taken by other photographers at www.100strangers.com.

can a person please list sports jobs that are accessible please?

Answer by SantaBud
I know that there is a site for baseball jobs at MLBjobs.com , you could probably uncover equivalent info for other sports the very same way.

Game day possibilities are handled by the regional group &/or the firm handling hospitality & safety at the actual venue. For instance the Rangers had a job fair last weekend at the ballpark for virtually all of the gameday jobs.

You did not indicate if you are looking for a job w a particular group or in a distinct sport. It could be worth a telephone get in touch with to the team’s public relations or employment office. Check for information on their website.
